General
Summary:
The Hematologist-Oncologist is responsible for providing care and medical oversight of patients with malignant diseases and hematologic disorders. The Hematologist-Oncologist uses interpersonal skills to collaborate with other medical staff to assure quality services are provided and represents Bayhealth Oncology Service Line to medical staff and the community. The Hematologist-Oncologist provides oncology services using substantiated guidelines in a timely manner.

Experience:
- Education:
Doctor of Medicine;
Must also have completed of recognized internal medicine residency program and hematology-oncology fellowship program. - Credential(s):
Physician MD, Physician - Controlled Substance Registration, DEA Diversion Control Division, Eligible to become an active member of Bayhealth Med Staff. Or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) licensure. - Experience:
Required: No experience necessary. Board eligible in hematology and oncology.
Preferred: Board certified in hematology and oncology.
