The Big Picture

Wilmington Community Evangelical Church (em.wcec.church/home) is searching for a full-time Youth Pastor.

Responsibilities:

• Nurture middle school and high school teenagers in worship, fellowship, outreach, and discipleship.
• Assess youth needs, set vision, plan, and execute curriculum and events.
• Preach and teach the word of God.
• Review ministry progress with the board, youth ministry team, and parents.
• Work collaboratively with volunteers and church staff.
• Engage with youth outside of church in casual settings.

Qualifications:

• Evangelical faith and Bible college or Master’s of Divinity degree.
• Preferably shepherding experience.
• Vision for youth ministry and ability to recruit/train volunteers.
• Good communication skills with youth and parents.
• Organizational skills and team player attitude.

Church Background:

Founded in 1981, bilingual (Mandarin and English), serving around 250 attendees weekly, with a vibrant youth ministry of 40-60 attendees on Fridays.

Compensation & Benefits:

$55,000-$60,000 DOE, 401K, medical reimbursement, paid vacation, conference and book allowances, relocation assistance.
