Base pay range $16.50/hr - $20.00/hr

As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you’ll be front and center – interacting with our customers and developing strong patient relationships.

Walgreens is proud to invest & champion an “earn while you learn” Pharmacy Technician Training Program recognized by ASHP & Department of Labor. This apprenticeship program guides you toward becoming a PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician.

• Assists the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and other Pharmacy Department duties.
• Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager.
• Reports prescription errors and adheres to policies.
• Registers sales on cash register and handles cash.
• Helps maintain Pharmacy Department inventory and filing claims.
• Assists in clinical services and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Earns and maintains PTCB certification through designated training program.
• Attends training and acquires continuing education credits.

• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math, computer skills and store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.
