Job Description:

The purpose of a NIGHT AUDITOR is to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for maintaining accounting records. Check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings related to business transactions recorded by others.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

Comply with standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.

Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.

Initiate and complete the End of Day process.

Run reports required for Food and Beverage audit.

Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily.

Balance the day’s work.

Maintain cashiering responsibilities per Front Office procedures.

Operate the Front Office computer system.

Fulfill all Front Office functions between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Handle guest requests during shift.

Follow safety and emergency procedures.

Maintain proper record keeping (log books, etc.).

Be familiar with policies and house rules.

Complete initial direct bills daily and attach backup documentation.

Maintain radio contact with staff during shift.

Have knowledge of security procedures.

Ensure staff are attentive, friendly, and courteous.

Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report.

Perform any other duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred; experience in a hotel or related field is advantageous. Completion of Bartender's school is a plus.
