Freshly renovated in 2025, the Atlantic View Hotel is a 34-room oceanfront boutique property located in the heart of Dewey Beach. With a mission to offer elevated hospitality grounded in authenticity and charm, the hotel delivers a premium guest experience that is both relaxed and refined. PositionSummary
We are seeking an experienced, creative, and hands‑on General Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of the Atlantic View Hotel. This role is ideal for someone who excels in boutique hospitality, understands the seasonal rhythms of coastal markets, and thrives in a high‑touch, service‑forward environment. The General Manager will be responsible for all facets of property operations, while also shaping the service delivery, social media identity, brand reputation, and food & beverage presentation to reflect the personality of the hotel and the expectations of a modern traveler.
Key Responsibilities- Operations & Guest Experience
- Oversee all daily hotel operations to ensure consistent quality, cleanliness, and service excellence
- Maintain high standards across housekeeping, front desk, maintenance, and breakfast delivery
- Personally engage with guests throughout their stay; serve as the host during evening socials
- Ensure execution of the full guest journey, including scripted prearrival emails, welcome touchpoints, in‑room amenities, evening treats, and bounceback offers
- Leadership & Culture
- Build, train, and motivate a small, cross‑functional team aligned with our core values of caring, creativity, and consistency
- Serve as an onsite mentor and lead by example with a hands‑on approach
- Foster a culture of pride and performance through thoughtful team communication and recognition
- Marketing & Brand Presentation
- Partner with corporate to implement local marketing campaigns and social media content
- Contribute to AVH's visual identity through photography, storytelling, and brand voice
- Monitor and respond to online reviews in a voice aligned with our East Coast Edge brand
- Food & Beverage Oversight
- Curate and maintain the breakfast and evening reception menus with input from guests and team members
- Ensure proper food handling, guest presentation, and quality standards are met
- Collaborate with local purveyors to enhance authenticity and regional flavor
- Financial & Strategic Performance
- Manage budget, expenses, and daily revenue reporting
- Control labor and cost of goods without compromising the guest experience
- Monitor market trends and STR reports to optimize ADR and occupancy

Ideal Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in hotel management, preferably in a boutique or select‑service setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands‑on management style
- Familiarity with coastal or seasonal markets a plus
- Experience with Room Master PMS or similar systems
- Knowledge of social media platforms and online reputation management
- Serv Safe or equivalent food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
