Production Manager
The Receiving Supervisor - Live Hang is responsible for overseeing all activities in the live receiving area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily live receiving operations to ensure a continuous flow of birds to production lines.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with animal welfare, food safety, and USDA regulations at all times.
- Oversee the unloading of live birds, ensuring humane handling and minimal stress to the animals.
- Ensure all live hang employees are properly trained in humane handling, safety procedures, and production expectations.
- Monitor and manage crew assignments to maintain efficiency and meet production goals.
- Inspect live birds and report any abnormalities or animal welfare concerns immediately to Quality Assurance or USDA personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of bird counts, weights, truck arrivals, and production yields.
- Collaborate with manangemen in other areas to address and resolve any operational issues.
- Ensure that proper sanitation is maintained throughout the receiving and live hang areas.
- Promote teamwork and positive employee relations within a multi‑language workforce.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, including attendance, safety, and performance standards.
- Maintain control of labor costs, department supplies, and operational efficiencies.
- Assist in training, evaluating, and coaching team members to improve performance and cross‑functional skills.
- Serve as backup for other supervisors as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned. All other related duties as assigned.

- Four Year Degree in Business, Agricultural Science or related field plus two years experience OR High School Diploma with at least four years of poultry experience (table, machine, cone).
- Knowledge of Poultry Plant Production
- Previous Supervisory or Management experience managing processes and people.
- PC skills required (MS Office)-Basic
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills are required
- Advanced - High degree of attention to detail
- Advanced - Excellent Communications skills as frequent communication is required with management and staff.
- Advanced - Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner that is consistent with the essential job functions.
Supervises assigned employees in their department inclusive of performance reviews and disciplinary actions.

- Must have the ability to enter all areas of the plant and offices.
- Must be able to lift 40lbs or more, use hands wrists and fingers to cut and pull.
- Team member must be able to stand for long periods at a time.
- Must be able to communicate with all level of employees as well as outside vendors and government agencies.
Work environment is predominantly wet and exposed to a variety of odors as well as presenting with hot and cold temperatures. Safety protection is provided.
