Electrical Electronic Technician – Core Hours are 7am – 3:30pm with flexibility as needed.

Job Summary

The Electrical/Electronics Technician will be responsible for the reliability of all plant manufacturing equipment, utilizing error & mistake-proofing from a machine controls standpoint, for the manufacturing of a wide array of materials. The technician will be a self-motivated driven individual with a strong and detailed Electrical/Electronic background within a manufacturing environment. This position will work closely with the Master Electrical/Electronics Technician, Production Mechanics, Preventative Maintenance Technicians, and Engineering for input and support.

Thorough knowledge of how to run, troubleshoot, and repair equipment is imperative. It is expected that the Technician will work with a continuous improvement mindset and will consistently provide input/feedback/value to his peers and superiors. The Electrical/Electronics Technician is a pivotal role in all manufacturing equipment reliability. Production scale is small to moderate, allowing for rapid product introduction and frequent innovation.

Work will be performed within an FDA/ISO regulated facility requiring the development and execution of appropriate validation/qualification protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical and operational ability to run, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Organize, prep, and prepare parts required to properly complete machine repairs or improvements.
  • Interpret, create, and continually improve PM task lists in a partnership with the TPM coordinator as needed.
  • Properly coordinate and complete projects in accordance with the schedule for compliance.
  • Upon completion of projects, ensure equipment is in the optimal run-ready state for production use under the Supervision of the Master Electrical/Electronics Technician.
  • Monitor and seek feedback regarding equipment performance for future needs and improvement (Production workers and Mechanics).
  • Properly maintain equipment; with cost savings in mind, but to prevent future catastrophic repair or downtime.
  • Proactively, work directly with Parts Clerk and TPM coordinator for spare & critical parts needs.
  • Flexibility. In extreme circumstances, it may be needed to fill in as a Mechanic to cover production. Work hours may need to shift to accommodate the accomplishment of projects based on the production schedule.
  • Follow all EHS rules/regulations such as LOTO, Arc Flash, PPE.
