Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support student finance operations for a university in Ohio. This Contract position focuses on accurate billing, payment processing, account follow-up, and financial record maintenance in a fast-paced education environment. The role will also contribute to month-end activities and help ensure students and external partners receive timely, attentive account support.

Responsibilities:

• Manage student account billing activities and ensure charges, adjustments, and balances are recorded accurately.
• Apply incoming payments promptly and maintain complete, up-to-date cash receipt records.
• Follow up on outstanding balances through courteous and consistent collection efforts while supporting cashiering-related tasks.
• Coordinate with outside collection partners and agencies to address delinquent accounts and monitor account status.
• Assist with month-end account reconciliation by reviewing transactions, resolving discrepancies, and preparing supporting documentation.
• Prepare and file 1098-related documentation in accordance with reporting requirements and internal timelines.
• Use systems such as Power Campus, Nel Net, and GP Dynamics to research account activity, update records, and support receivables workflows.
