Obtain a Sub Teaching License by following instructions on ODE's website: (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Use IRN 048264 for signatures.
If background checks are needed, call or email denise.engish to schedule. Cost is $55, payable by exact cash or check.
Once verified, you'll be approved by the school board to be on the substitute list and will receive login information for Frontline/Aesop.
Position PurposeUnder supervision of the School Principal, facilitate student success and growth through implementing district curriculum, documenting progress, addressing individual needs, and creating a safe learning environment. Provide feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.
Essential Functions- Develop and administer curriculum aligned with district goals.
- Promote a safe, conducive classroom environment for instruction.
- Create lesson plans and instructional materials, and utilize available time effectively.
- Assess student learning regularly and modify instruction accordingly.
- Instruct students on responsible citizenship and other subject matters.
- Engage in professional development activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Encourage parental involvement and communicate effectively with families.
- Manage student behavior to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings and committees.
- Requisition and maintain instructional supplies and equipment.
- Supervise students during activities outside the classroom and during transportation.
- Administer standardized tests as per district programs.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Principal or administrators.
Qualifications- Ohio State Certification as an Elementary Teacher, with grade level certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field;
Master's preferred. - Successful prior teaching experience is a plus.
