Job Summary

The Test Engineer - 2nd Shift position combines technical expertise with shift leadership responsibilities in the Product Integrity department. The position requires both deep technical knowledge for test engineering activities and the ability to coordinate and oversee 2nd shift operations. This role serves as both a senior technical resource and shift coordinator, ensuring operational excellence during non-standard hours.

This position will be based onsite at our Delaware, OH location.

Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
  • Design, plan, track and direct test activities for NPDI programs and ETO projects
  • Develop and execute complex test cases requiring advanced instrumentation knowledge
  • Serve as technical expert for oscilloscope and power meter operations
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting support for test setups and units under test
  • Review and validate test data and results
  • Develop specialized test procedures and methodologies
2nd Shift Coordination Duties
  • Coordinate daily workload and resource allocation for 2nd shift technicians
  • Monitor test bay operations to ensure safety compliance and 5S standards
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to technicians
  • Communicate shift status updates to Test Engineering Manager
  • Provide performance feedback for technicians to Test Engineering Manager
  • Ensure proper execution of test procedures and documentation
  • Maintain lab equipment and coordinate maintenance needs
Requirements
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical and mechanical test techniques
  • Expert-level proficiency with oscilloscopes and power meters for 3-phase measurements
  • Demonstrated leadership experience or capability
  • Experience with 208/230/480V/600V 3-phase 60/50 Hz systems
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Ability to work 2nd shift hours (~3pm-12am, M-F)
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk while performing tasks 50% of the time.
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
  • 5-10%
