Overview

Title: Deputy Zoning Inspector
Schedule: Full-Time during normal business hours with occasional evening meetings
Location: Genoa Township, Delaware County, Ohio

Starting Pay: $24.00/hour
Experience: 0 – 3 years minimum, 3 – 5 years preferred

The primary functions of the position are to assist the Director of Development and Zoning (i.e., Zoning Inspector) with fair and consistent enforcement of the Genoa Township Zoning Resolution within the unincorporated areas of Genoa Township, Delaware County, Ohio, as well as with the administration of department business. This position includes reviewing various zoning applications; issuing permits and certificates; conducting fieldwork and inspections;

monitoring compliance; attending and presenting at public meetings; issuing and enforcing notices of zoning violations; answering technical and complex questions related to zoning and subdivisions; assisting with the drafting of zoning regulations; and participating in the creation and implementation of community planning efforts.
