Position SummaryThe Office of the District Attorney for the 13th Judicial District is seeking a qualified and motivated Legal Assistant to support prosecutors in a fast‑paced legal environment.
Responsibilities- Assisting prosecutors with case management and court calendars
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Maintaining electronic case files and docketing systems
- Managing court dates and deadlines
- Performing general office and administrative duties
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred, but not required
- Prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal is required
- Proficiency in personal computing and office software
- Experience with case or document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A desire to serve the public with professionalism and excellence
Office environment with routine physical demands associated with administrative and clerical work.
