One Part-Time, 2 hours per day position at Liberty and Slate Hill Elementary School. Responsible for directing traffic in conjunction with movement of children to and from school at specified locations.

• Controls the movement of automobiles and trucks at school crossings.
• Places school sentinel signs in the roadway at designated points near crossing and removes them before going off duty.
• Directs vehicular traffic at designated crossing to allow children to cross safely.
• Controls children using the crossing to assure that they conform to traffic regulations.
• Reports children who fail to cooperate to the school principal.
• Completes reports for the school principal as needed.
• Instructs children in elements of traffic safety.

• Ability to work in inclement weather throughout the year.
• Ability and skill in working with children.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction.
• Ability to show courtesy and tact.
• Ability to use technology to complete daily and assigned tasks appropriate for the position.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.

$12.00/hr
