Sports Program Teacher, Coach at N Zone

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Sports Program Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs, fostering teamwork, and promoting physical fitness in a supportive environment. This role focuses primarily on coaching and mentoring children while supporting the Program Director with program logistics, school partnerships, and select business development opportunities.

This role is perfect for individuals who have experience in various sports disciplines and enjoy working with children and young adults. We service New Castle and Kent County, so please be local to this area.

• Develop and implement engaging training programs for various sports.
• Coach and mentor children ages 2–8 in a variety of sports, focusing on fun, fundamentals, and personal growth.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and respect among participants.
• Assist the Program Director with scheduling, communication, and day-to-day program operations.
• Prepare and manage sports equipment and ensure safety standards are followed during sessions.
• Represent N Zone Sports at games, camps, and community events with professionalism and enthusiasm.

• Build positive relationships with parents, schools, and community partners.
• Support light outreach efforts such as attending local events, helping with promotional activities, or sharing program information.
• Assist in identifying potential new program locations or partnerships as directed by the Program Director.
• Provide feedback and input on opportunities to grow N Zone’s presence in the community.

• Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education is essential.
• Prior experience coaching or working with children (ages 2–8) preferred.
• Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping kids learn and grow through sports.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle diverse groups of students.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, or weekends as needed.
• CPR or First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
• A background in athletics or youth sports can be beneficial for understanding fitness training principles.
