Role Overview
As a Senior System‑Level Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing the digital baseband part of our cutting‑edge GNSS/IoT chip. This role is for those who enjoy challenges and wish to contribute to the development of technology that powers GNSS L1/L5 receivers and BLE/Lora/NB‑IoT transceivers.

Job Description
As a Senior communication system Engineer, you’ll play a role in shaping the future of our cutting‑edge technology. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of communication systems and will contribute to the system design for our next‑generation products.

You will work in our offices in Delft.

Design and implement communication systems, considering factors such as bandwidth, latency, and reliability.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and network engineers, to ensure seamless integration of communication systems.

Develop and execute test plans to validate the performance and reliability of communication systems.

Collaborate closely with RTL implementation teams to ensure seamless integration and optimisation of designs.

Create and maintain documentation for communication system designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Requirements
At Qualinx, we seek a result‑driven communication system Engineer who thrives in an environment where proactive, can‑do attitudes are celebrated. Bring your passion and expertise and join us on this exciting venture. The ideal candidate  must have :

Strong MATLAB programming and scripting skills.

In‑depth knowledge of digital signal processing, physical layer blocks of wireless communication systems such as modulation/demodulation techniques, filters, channel estimation, equalisation, and synchronisation.

Deep understanding of  physical  and MAC layers of at least one of the following wireless communication standards:

Bluetooth family: EDR, BLE, etc.

Cellular Communication: 3G, NB‑IOT, LTE, LTE‑M

LORA, LORA‑WAN

DVB‑T2, DVB‑S2 or CCSDS family

GNSS: GPS, Galileo, Bei Dou, GLONASS

IEEE: 802.11 family, 802.15 family

Proven track record of successful collaboration with RTL implementation teams including:

Fixed‑point calculations

Solid understanding of FPGA or ASIC implementation in communication systems

Nice to have:

C/C++ programming.

A Master degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.

At least 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting communication systems.
