CAD Engineer

The Sr. CAD Engineer will provide CAD Software support for Digital, Analog and Mixed-Signal designs, using Cadence & Mentor Graphics' & 3rd party vendor tools. Responsibilities include user support for Behavioral, RTL and Analog Designs, Schematics, Analog Mixed-Signal Simulations, IC Physical Design layout, CAD tool customizations, Linux Support, implementation and testing of new software tools and deploy new CAD Tool flows.

The Sr. CAD Engineer will also interface with EDA Tool Vendors and have responsibilities for implementation and performance testing of new software releases, prior to deploying to IC Designers across multiple engineering sites.

Responsibilities
Full support for Cadence & Mentor Graphics' custom flows, tool development, installation and maintenance

Support Virtuoso Layout and schematic & Mentor Simulation and Layout Verification software and release flows based on revision control system

Support and maintain version control systems like SOS, Git, SVNSupport and Maintain Ansys Tools like Totem, Pathfinder Provide general CAD services support, utilities, scripts

Tool configuration and application

Functional Evaluation, Performance Benchmarking and Deployment of New Tools Automation and Regression Flow Support

CAD Software & Linux User Support for CMOS Design Engineers & IC Layout Designers Prepare User Documentation for Design Engineers Responsible for diagnosis, resolution, regression of reported problems

Interfacing with EDA Vendors’ Applications Teams Other projects as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements
BA/BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience with analog and digital new product development CMOS IC CAD support using EDA tools

Must have experience supporting:

Cadence Virtuoso Schematic Editor and Layout Suite, Spectre, Spectre-RF, Multi-Mode Simulator, Physical Layout tools

Mentor Graphics Analog Fast-Spice, Questa, Parasitic CALIBRE PVS, XRCVersion control tools like SOS, GIT, SVNAnsys Tools like Totem, Pathfinder Programming languages: DFII SKILL, PERL, MATLAB, Tcl/Tk, C / C++Proficient at Linux OS, utilities, and scripting
