High Voltage Cable Engineer – Underground and Submarine cable

Your new role
As an Electrical Engineer you will work alongside a team of 50+ experts within the Power Systems department, focusing on offshore wind, power‑to‑X, and carbon capture projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Reviewing project documents and preparing technical reports.

Performing cable rating and thermal calculations.

Designing onshore cable bonding and jointing arrangements.

Developing onshore cable routes and installation strategies (direct burial, HDD, drilling, crossing design).

Assessing interfaces with transition joint bay, substation, and civil works.

Inspecting cable manufacturing and installation at factory and site (travel may be required).

Qualifications

Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering.

+3 years of onshore (underground) HV cable design experience (66 kV – 400 kV).

Experience with Cymcap or similar cable rating software.

Knowledge of cable‑related international and local standards.

Fluency in English;
Dutch and German are a plus.

Experience in cable accessories, installation, civil works, or fiber‑optic cable is a plus.
