TU Delft's Department of Hydraulic Engineering invites applications for a PhD position on the impact of extreme water events on structures. You will perform large-scale experiments using the dam-break facility and instrumented building models to capture loads and pressures on structural elements.
You will integrate experiments with CFD-OpenFOAM and Open Sees simulations, establishing links between hydraulic loads and structural response, and collaborate with international partners.
