Your role
As Graphite Expert, you will be part of the multidisciplinary Nuclear Department within the Innovations Division. You will take a leading role in the engineering of graphite as well as the definition, specification, and qualification of graphite materials and components for the HTGR core and related systems.

Key responsibilities

Co-design the reactor internals;

Interpret simulations and use this to optimize the design;

Define and develop graphite specifications;

Assess graphite behaviour under irradiation, oxidation, thermal cycling, and mechanical loading;

Lead material selection and qualification processes;

Develop and review test programs;

Ensure alignment with nuclear codes and standards;

Support safety analyses;

Interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

What we expect from you

MSc or PhD in relevant field;

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience;

Expertise in graphite behaviour under irradiation and high temperature;

Expertise in graphite interactions with other materials;

Experience with material qualification programs;

Strong analytical skills;

Familiarity with nuclear safety frameworks;

Excellent communication skills.
