Measurement Automation Scientist (D/F/M)

Delft, South Holland, Netherlands

QphoX is looking for a new member to join us in developing and building our quantum transducers. We are looking to expand our team with a Measurement Automation Scientist
. As a member of our team, you will help develop and characterize the next generation of integrated quantum devices and take their performance to the next level. You will join one of the world’s leading groups in microwave to optical transducers.

Responsibilities
  • Optical and microwave measurements of microwave-to-optics transducers
  • Automating the measurement and analysis process
  • Database construction and management for tracking trends in devices
  • Determining the properties of devices and the impact of R&D developments
  • Feeding back on results and suggesting changes for future devices
  • Working in collaboration with fabrication, design and simulation scientists
Qualifications
  • PhD or at least four years industry experience in electrical engineering, computer science, photonics, optics or related field
  • Proficiency with Python for scientific use
  • At least two years automation experience in optical or other positioning setup alignment
  • At least two years of experience constructing and managing databases and extracting trends from large data sets
  • Experience with integrated photonics, MEMs or semiconductor test and measurement
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • An organized and rigorous working style
  • Ability to come up with practical actions to deal with issues
Supplementary Skills
  • Experience with quality management or quality control
  • Experience with quantum transducers, optomechanics, or quantum physics
