Job Description:

Roles And Responsibilities
Proofread and edit written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity.
Attention to detail and an eye for spotting mistakes in both spelling and grammar
Ensure that a zero-error copy is published
Ensure consistency in style, tone, and language usage
Verify factual accuracy and facilitate necessary changes
Collaborate with writers & editorial team to deliver quality content
Perform thorough checks for typographical errors and formatting issues
Suggest revisions and enhancements to improve overall content quality
Knowledge of entertainment content & pop culture is necessary to understand the context of the content
Publish proofread articles on Word Press (Word Press training will be provided)
Adhere to deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively. Deliver within timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Stay updated with industry best practices and latest editing trends

Qualifications & Skills
2- 4 years of experience as a Proofreader in media, entertainment, short form (blogs, articles), online content
Able to deal with a large daily volume (average 300-500 words/article or higher).
A graduate with expert-level written and spoken English and impeccable grammar.
Strong knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules
Attention to detail and exceptional proofreading skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in using editing tools and software (Grammarly)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in writing entertainment content online will be an added bonus.
