About the Role
Fandom Wire is seeking a Senior Entertainment Writer to lead high-impact coverage in movies, TV shows, celebrity news, and broader pop culture. This isn't just writing, it's shaping the conversation. You'll produce 5 high-quality articles per day while actively contributing to content strategy pitching and ideating topics to cover.

Key Responsibilities
Craft compelling, timely articles including breaking news, in-depth analyses, features, lists, opinion pieces, and explainers..
Pitch original, high-potential story ideas weekly focusing on trending topics, evergreen angles, and what readers/search engines crave right now.
Participate in regular brainstorming sessions with Content Heads and cross-unit teams to ideate viral content, seasonal campaigns, and coverage strategies.
Apply advanced on-page SEO techniques:
Optimized headlines/meta, internal linking, structured data for knowledge panels, readability scoring, and E-E-A-T principles to boost rankings and user engagement.
Stay ahead of the entertainment landscape: track releases, rumors, cast news, box office, awards buzz, and cultural moments to spot opportunities early.
Collaborate on multi-format ideas (e.g., tying articles to social, video, or community discussions).
Requirements
4+ years of professional writing experience in entertainment journalism/pop culture media.
Proven track record of producing high-traffic, SEO-optimized content with examples of articles ranking well on Google (share links/portfolio).
Deep, expert-level knowledge of Hollywood, streaming platforms (Netflix, Prime, Disney+), celebrities, awards seasons, and pop culture trends.
Excellent pitching and ideation skills, show us ideas that turned into top performers.
Ability to write fast, accurately, and engagingly under deadlines while maintaining voice and factual integrity.
Passion for entertainment that translates into authentic, reader-first content.
