We're seeking an experienced Global College Counselor to guide high-school students (ages 14–18) through the admissions process for leading universities worldwide—including the US, UK, Canada, Europe, and Asia. You will design competitive application strategies, mentor students one-on-one, and provide expert guidance across every stage of their international college journey.
Key Responsibilities
Global Application Strategy:
Build balanced university lists across multiple countries, aligning with each student's academic goals, personal interests, and financial considerations.
End-to-End Guidance:
Support students with timelines, recommendation letters, standardized testing plans, and application platforms.
Narrative & Essays:
Provide detailed feedback on personal statements, supplemental essays, and activity lists; help students craft compelling academic and personal narratives tailored to regional requirements.
Profile Development:
Mentor students to create cohesive academic and extracurricular profiles and to design impactful passion projects or research initiatives.
Leadership &
Collaboration:
Conduct long-term planning from grades 9–12, mentor junior counselors, and share best practices with the counseling team.
Stakeholder Communication:
Liaise with parents and internal leadership to provide regular updates and strategic recommendations.
Market Awareness:
Stay current on international admissions trends, test-optional policies, visa considerations, and evolving institutional priorities across major education destinations.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
2–5+ years in global college counseling, international admissions advising, or related roles, with a track record of successful placements at selective universities worldwide.
Expertise:
Strong understanding of holistic admissions processes across the US, UK, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation and client-management abilities.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, counseling, psychology, communications, or a related field (preferred).
Additional Strengths:
Strategic thinking, cultural awareness, empathy, and excellent organizational skills. Familiarity with major application platforms.
