Industry & Sector: Private K-12 education and STEM learning services operating in the experiential learning and education consultancy space. We deliver classroom and after-school STEM programmes that emphasize hands-on projects, applied science, coding, and robotics for school-age learners.
Location & Workplace: India — On-site role at partner schools and learning centres.
Role & Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate STEM lessons aligned to programme outcomes and school curricula, using project-based and inquiry-led approaches.
Design and facilitate hands-on experiments, maker activities, robotics and coding sessions; prepare materials and ensure smooth equipment setup and teardown.
Maintain laboratory and classroom safety: enforce safety protocols, manage tools and consumables, and conduct risk assessments for activities.
Assess student learning through formative and summative methods; provide timely feedback, track progress, and adapt lessons to diverse learner needs.
Collaborate with school leadership, parents, and fellow educators to integrate STEM modules, support events (fairs, competitions), and communicate outcomes.
Curate and maintain teaching resources, kits, and documentation; contribute to continuous improvement of STEM curricula and lesson plans.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Education or a related field.
Proven experience teaching or facilitating STEM classes for K-12 learners with a portfolio of hands-on projects.
Practical experience with robotics and coding platforms (e.g., Arduino, micro:bit, educational robots) and basic electronics kits.
Strong competency in lesson planning, project-based learning methods and classroom management.
Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and experience conducting supervised experiments.
Ability to assess learning outcomes, design formative assessments and maintain learner progress records.
Preferred
Teaching certification (e.g.,
B.Ed) or relevant pedagogy training.
Experience with curriculum design for after-school or enrichment programmes and cross-disciplinary STEM modules.
Familiarity with digital learning tools, LMS platforms and basic classroom technology integration.
