Role Description  The Junior Study Abroad Counsellor – Europe & UK will provide front-line counseling to students interested in pursuing higher education in European countries and the United Kingdom. This full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India involves meeting students and families, understanding their academic background and career goals, and suggesting suitable countries, universities, and programs. The counsellor will support students through the entire application cycle, including documentation, scholarship guidance, and coordination with universities where required.

Daily responsibilities include managing inquiries, conducting follow-up calls and emails, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with senior counsellors to ensure high-quality student service. The role also includes participating in seminars, workshops, and outreach activities to promote Next Gen Study Abroad’s services and staying informed about changing admission, visa, and scholarship requirements in Europe and the UK.
Qualifications
Strong student counselling and advisory skills, including the ability to understand academic profiles, career goals, and study-abroad preferences.
Knowledge of European and UK higher education systems, admission processes, visa requirements, and scholarship opportunities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with students and families.
Organizational and time-management skills, including handling multiple applications, maintaining documentation, and meeting deadlines.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, CRM or student management tools) and comfort with online research and digital communication.
Customer service mindset, with a focus on transparency, integrity, and student-centered support.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; education, humanities, or business-related fields are an advantage.
Prior experience in counselling, education consulting, or study abroad services is preferred but not mandatory for strong entry-level candidates.
Ability to work on-site in Delhi, India, with flexibility to handle occasional events, seminars, and extended counselling hours during peak seasons.
