Medical Coder - Oncology Billing (Remote)

7pm - 11:30pm
Salary: INR 20,000 Per Month

Medical Biller (Oncology Billing)

Excellent understanding of Practice Mate, Superbills, NDC Requirements, CPT Codes, HCPCS Codes,

Role Overview We are seeking a highly detail-oriented

Medical Coder

with specific expertise in

Oncology billing

to manage the daily preparation of claims within

Practice Mate . Your primary responsibility is to bridge the gap between clinical documentation and claim submission, ensuring every claim is "submission-ready" for our team to send out each morning.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation Review:

Audit daily

superbills

against medical notes to ensure all services are documented and supported.
Precision Coding:

Assign and enter accurate

CPT codes

and

ICD-10 diagnosis pointers

based on provider notes.
Oncology-Specific Reporting:

Expertly handle

NDC (National Drug Code)

box entries for chemotherapy and other injections, ensuring units and dosages match documentation.
Modifier Accuracy:

Correctly apply modifiers (e.g.,
-25,
-59, or J-codes) to prevent denials and ensure maximum legitimate reimbursement.
Workflow Management:

Log into

Practice Mate

daily to prepare claims, leaving them in a "Ready to Send" status for the billing manager.

Required Qualifications

Software Proficiency:

Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience using

Practice Mate .
Clinical Expertise:

Proven experience in

Oncology coding

(understanding the nuances of infusion, injections, and complex diagnosis linking).
Technical

Skills:

Deep understanding of

NDC requirements , HCPCS codes, and the relationship between diagnosis pointers and procedure codes.
Certification (Preferred):

CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or COC (Certified Outpatient Coder) preferred.
