Nutraceutical Product Development Consultant (Project-Based)

We are an emerging health & nutrition brand preparing to launch our first product — a scientifically designed multivitamin built on a strong evidence-based foundation.

We are looking for an experienced Nutraceutical Product Development Consultant (Freelance / Project-Based) to review and finalise our formulation before moving into manufacturing. This is a short-term, high-impact engagement focused specifically on optimising and validating a multivitamin formulation for the Indian market.

Scope of Work:

• Review and refine the existing draft formulation

• Finalize ingredient selection and bioavailable nutrient forms

• Optimize dosage levels in line with scientific literature and established upper safety limits

• Ensure nutrient compatibility, stability, and absorption synergy

• Recommend suitable excipients (for capsule or powder formats, if required)

• Align the formulation with Indian regulatory standards and FSSAI guidelines

• Coordinate with the manufacturer's R&D team to ensure feasibility and compliance

Ideal Candidate:

• Background in Nutraceuticals / Food Technology / Pharmaceutical Sciences / Clinical Nutrition

• Proven experience in supplement formulation (multivitamins preferred)

• Strong understanding of bioavailability, nutrient interactions, and product stability

• Practical experience with FSSAI regulations and labeling compliance

• Experience working with D2C or emerging health brands is an added advantage

Engagement Details:

• Freelance / Project-Based

• Short-term engagement focused on finalising one product formulation

• Compensation will be discussed based on experience

This engagement may also evolve into a longer-term advisory or core team role if there is strong alignment in vision, quality standards, and working approach.
