The SAP Logistics Functional-Technical Lead will be responsible for leading the functional design, delivery, and support of SAP Logistics Execution – Warehouse Management (LE-WM) solutions. This role works closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure SAP logistics solutions are aligned with business requirements and delivered with high quality.
The position owns end-to-end responsibility across requirements gathering, solution design, integrations, testing, release management, and production support , while managing multiple initiatives across business areas. The role is approximately 70% functional and 30% technical .
Key Responsibilities
Lead functional design, configuration, and solution delivery for SAP LE-WM
Design and oversee integrations between SAP LE-WM and external systems using ALE/IDOC , including 3PL integrations
Ensure seamless integration with SAP SD, MM, and FICO
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into:
Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
Solution Design Documents (SDD)
Functional Specifications (FS)
Provide functional and technical guidance for enhancements, interfaces, reports, and data migration
Define test strategies, prepare test scripts, execute testing cycles, and track success metrics
Provide hands-on support during issue resolution, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
Support go-live, hyper-care, and post-production stabilization
Monitor system issues, trends, SLAs, and operational KPIs
Support release management, upgrade cutovers, and disaster recovery activities
Contribute to project planning, estimation, resource coordination, and risk management
Manage and coordinate work across internal teams, vendors, and multiple business areas
Build and maintain strong working relationships across IT and business stakeholders
Required Skills
Strong experience in SAP LE-WM functional design and delivery
Hands-on experience with ALE/IDOC integrations , including 3PL scenarios
Solid understanding of SAP SD, MM, and FICO integration points
Experience across implementations, enhancements, rollouts, and production support
Strong skills in requirements gathering, functional documentation, and testing
Ability to provide functional guidance to technical teams (ABAP, integration teams)
Experience managing multiple work streams and priorities
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience in SAP S/4
HANA logistics environments (without mandatory EWM)
Exposure to global or multi-site SAP implementations
Experience working with external vendors and offshore teams
Knowledge of SAP release management, system upgrades, and cutover planning
Familiarity with reporting, KPIs, and SLA management in SAP landscapes
Prior experience in manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse-intensive industries
