Head Digital

Position: Head Digital & Applications
The Head Digital & Applications will provide enterprise‑wide leadership in defining, architecting, and delivering large‑scale digital transformation across Airport IT Services & Operations.

This role will own the Core Airport IT Platform (Airport ITaaS) strategy and lead the creation of scalable, secure, and innovation‑led digital and application platforms, including cloud, AI/ML‑driven, and next‑generation smart airport solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Strategy & Enterprise Leadership

- Define and lead the digital and applications strategy for Airport IT Services & Operations.
- Develop and execute a multi‑year digital transformation roadmap aligned with business strategy and AOPs.
- Act as a digital thought leader and evangelist in aviation and transportation technology.
- Represent the organization in industry forums, customer engagements, and strategic partnerships.

Digital Platforms & Application Architecture

- Own the architecture, roadmap, and evolution of the Core Airport IT Digital Platform (Airport ITaaS).
- Lead end‑to‑end application and system architecture across cloud, infrastructure, networks, data, and security.
- Ensure platforms are scalable, resilient, cyber‑secure, and capable of real‑time operations.
- Drive modernization and transformation of legacy airport applications and platforms.

Innovation, Products & New Offerings

- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and translate them into practical airport use cases.
- Lead development of solutions leveraging AI/ML, IoT, Digital Twin, Video Analytics, Predictive & Preventive Technologies, and Automation.
- Establish and govern digital innovation and incubation labs to develop new products and services.
- Build IP‑led, reusable, and monetizable digital assets and service offerings.

Delivery, Execution & Governance

- Drive excellence across product engineering, application development, systems integration, testing, QA, and Dev Sec Ops .
- Lead large‑scale, complex systems integration and transformation programs.
- Govern technology standards, architecture principles, and delivery methodologies across COEs.
- Evaluate and integrate third‑party and partner solutions into the Airport IT ecosystem.

Leadership & Capability Building

- Build and lead digital, applications, architecture, and integration teams including COEs and SMEs.
- Coach and mentor leaders and technologists to build future‑ready digital capabilities.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and engineering excellence.

Business & Financial Impact

- Drive revenue growth through digital platforms, applications, and solution‑led engagements.
- Deliver cost optimization and operational efficiency through automation and digital IT operations.
- Support business development, presales, and strategic customer solutioning.

Experience & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or Business, or equivalent professional qualification.
- 20+ years in digital, applications, platforms, or solution development, with 10+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Enterprise level experience in IT Digital Transformation using AI/ML, managing large scale software development teams, preferably within Aviation, Airports, or similar large scale domains.
- Proven leadership of enterprise digital transformations and modernization of legacy platforms.
- Extensive experience with large, complex, real‑time, and mission‑critical systems.
- Deep expertise in application architecture, systems integration, and platform engineering.
- Hands‑on exposure to AI/ML, IoT, Digital Twin, Video Analytics, Predictive Operations, and Incident Avoidance technologies.
- Good communication skills.
