Key Responsibilities
System Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (S/4
HANA, Net Weaver, Solution Manager).
- Manage system performance, monitoring, health checks, and capacity planning.
Transport Management
- Handle movement of transports across development, quality, and production systems.
- Maintain CTS/TMS configuration and troubleshoot transport issues.
- Support change management and release processes.
Performance Optimization
- Monitor system KPIs and tune performance for SAP applications and databases.
- Use tools like SAP Solution Manager Early Watch and DBACOCKPIT for proactive monitoring.
SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation)
- Configure and manage embedded SLT for real-time data replication from S/4
HANA (RISE) to SAP BTP HANA Cloud.
- Ensure secure RFC connections and replication jobs via LTRC and DBACOCKPIT.
- Apply SAP Notes and certificates for SLT setup.
Cloud RISE-Specific Tasks
- Manage hybrid landscapes (on-prem and cloud).
- Collaborate with SAP and hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, GCP) for infrastructure optimization.
- Implement automation for routine BASIS tasks.
Security & Compliance
- Administer user roles and authorizations.
- Apply patches and ensure compliance with SAP security standards.
- Manage SSL certificates and secure RFCs.
Required Skills
- Core BASIS
Skills:
*** administration, transport management, performance tuning, system refresh.
- SLT Expertise:
Real-time replication setup and troubleshooting replication jobs.
- RISE Knowledge: S/4
HANA architecture, cloud migration strategies, vendor coordination.
- Database
Skills:
HANA administration and DB tuning.
- Tools: SAP Solution Manager, DBACOCKPIT, LTRC, SM59.
- Cloud Platforms:
Azure, AWS, GCP.
- Automation:
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools for BASIS tasks.
