Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Open Shift Expert Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Open Shift Container Platform (OCP) v4.x , Bare Metal deployments, cluster management, networking, and automation. The candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing scalable Open Shift environments while ensuring security, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage Open Shift Container Platform (OCP) v4.x environments, including Single Node Open Shift (SNO) clusters.
Implement and manage Bare Metal deployments and SR-IOV networking .
Configure advanced networking components such as OVN, Multus, Metal
LB, AVI, Octavia, and F5 SPK load balancers.
Deploy and manage Open Shift on Open Stack using IPI, UPI, Assisted Installer, and Agent-based methods .
Implement Advanced Cluster Management (ACM) and Advanced Cluster Security (ACS) .
Manage Quay Enterprise Registry for container image storage.
Implement Git Ops practices using ArgoCD/FluxCD and automate deployments using Terraform and Ansible .
Integrate security tools like Prisma Cloud Compute .
Implement Cert Manager and Service Mesh .
Monitor and optimize platform performance using Dynatrace and cost optimization tools like Kubecost/Perfect Scale .
Troubleshoot platform issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Provide technical guidance and maintain documentation.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience working with Open Shift/Kubernetes platforms .
Hands-on experience with Open Shift Container Platform (OCP) v4.x .
Strong experience in Bare Metal deployments, SR-IOV, and networking configurations .
Experience with ACM, ACS, Multus, OVN, and Service Mesh .
Knowledge of Git Ops tools (ArgoCD/FluxCD) and automation tools Terraform and Ansible .
Familiarity with Quay Registry, Prisma Cloud, Cert Manager, and Dynatrace .
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills .
Preferred Skills
Experience with Open Shift on Open Stack .
Knowledge of cloud-native and Dev Ops practices .
Relevant Open Shift/Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
