Job Summary
Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing voice traffic routes with telecom providers.
This role focuses on securing cost-effective termination routes while maintaining strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance, and optimizing margins in a fast-paced wholesale environment.
Key Responsibilities
Buying & Supplier Management
Source and onboard voice termination partners and carriers globally
Negotiate rates, terms, credit limits, and commercial agreements
Maintain and grow long-term supplier relationships
Continuously evaluate new routes, vendors, and market opportunities
Traffic & Quality Management
Monitor ASR, ACD, PDD and overall route quality
Work closely with NOC to resolve quality issues
Manage route testing, block/unblock decisions, and failover strategies
Pricing & Margin Optimization
Analyse market trends and competitor pricing
Adjust buy rates to protect and improve margins
Support sales teams with competitive pricing and route recommendations
Participate in rate deck management and weekly/daily updates
Collaboration
Coordinate with Sales, Routing, NOC
Support new customer launches and traffic ramp-ups
Required Qualifications
1+ years experience in Wholesale VoIP / Telecom Voice Buying
Strong understanding of VoIP, SIP, and wholesale voice routing
Experience negotiating rates and contracts with telecom carriers
Knowledge of voice quality metrics (ASR, ACD, PDD, CLI)
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Ability to work in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
Preferred Qualifications
Existing network of wholesale voice suppliers
Experience in international voice markets
Skills & Competencies
Commercial mindset with strong cost control focus
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Data-driven decision making
Excel / reporting skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure
