Role:
Merchandiser - Vendor Development & International Operations We are looking for a smart, experienced Merchandiser who understands garments, factories, fabrics, and production. This person will build our vendor base, find new manufacturers, manage sampling, monitor production, and ensure quality for our international schools.

Experience:
8-10 years in Garment Manufacturing / Export House / Buying House Industry Preference: School uniforms, garments, knit/woven units, export houses Salary: Based on experience

Key Responsibilities Vendor Development (Primary Role) Identify new garment factories.
Evaluate vendor capabilities (machines, manpower, finishing, MOQ, capacity).
Negotiate pricing, timelines, and sampling terms.
Maintain a strong database of approved vendors.
Sampling & Product Development Create & send tech packs, specification sheets.
Follow up for samples and fit approvals.
Check fabrics (GSM, weave, quality) & trims.
Production Management Monitor order progress with vendors.
Manage timelines for international dispatches.
Solve bottlenecks quickly (fabric delays, approvals, cuttings, finishing).
Coordinate with internal ERP/admin team for PO & documentation.
Quality Control Ensure school uniform quality standards are met.
Perform pre-production and pre-dispatch QC checks.
Handle size sets, fit issues, shrinkage checks.

What We Are Looking For Experience working in any garment factory or export house
Strong fabric knowledge (knits/wovens, GSM, blends)
Ability to read tech packs & size specs
Negotiation + vendor relationship skills
Comfortable with factory visits + fieldwork
Strong ownership and problem-solving mindset
