They manage the production floor, ensuring workers meet output targets while strictly adhering to quality, cost-efficiency, and shipment deadlines. This leadership role coordinates cutting, sewing, and finishing processes.

Because 'incharge' can refer to different specialized areas, their exact duties vary by department:
1. Production Incharge Focuses on the overarching apparel manufacturing process.

Planning:
Develop daily and weekly production schedules based on buyer orders.

Efficiency:
Allocate manpower and machines effectively to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.

Workflow:
Ensure a smooth progression from the cutting department to the sewing floor and finally to packaging.
2. Quality Incharge Ensures all manufactured garments meet brand specifications and compliance standards.

Inspections:
Conduct in-line and end-line random inspections to catch defects early.

Reporting:
Maintain and verify Internal Final Inspection Reports.

Defect Control:
Analyze root causes for rejects and enforce rework protocols to reduce returns.
3. Fabric/Store Incharge Oversees the raw materials and inventory necessary for production.

Inventory Management:
Track stocks of fabric, trims, accessories, and packaging materials to ensure uninterrupted workflows.

Issuing:
Distribute raw materials to cutting floors or vendors while strictly following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) methods.

Quality Checks:
Verify fabric shrinkage, weight, and general quality before releasing it into production.
4. Finishing Incharge Manages the final stages before garments are dispatched to retailers.

Post-Production Care:
Oversee operations like thread trimming, ironing/pressing, folding, and packing.

Final Audits:
Check that final packed items perfectly match the required color assortments and size ratios.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience:

Typically 3 to 10+ years in the textile/apparel sector, depending on the tier of management.

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Design, or Industrial Engineering.

Technical

Skills:

Deep understanding of sewing mechanisms, fabric behavior, and quality control metrics.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving, team management, and baseline IT skills for tracking inventory and orders
