About Ram Food Industries Ram Food Industries is a processor of Moong Sabut (Whole Green Gram) and Moong Chhilka Dal (Split Green Gram with Husk) . We supply quality products to wholesalers, distributors, institutional buyers, and modern trade customers across India.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly driven Operations Manager who can build systems, improve efficiency, and create a culture of ownership across our manufacturing operations.
Role Overview This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the end-to-end execution of operations across our manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving operational problems, building processes, improving productivity, and leading people on the shop floor.
This role is not limited to managing reports or supervising teams—it requires someone who can identify problems, implement practical solutions, and drive continuous improvement every day.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Production Lead day-to-day plant operations across multiple facilities.
Prepare and execute production plans based on pending sales orders, available inventory, and demand forecasts.
Improve production efficiency, machine utilization, and overall plant productivity.
Reduce work-in-progress (WIP) inventory and improve material flow.
Inventory Management Ensure high inventory accuracy through regular stock reconciliation and strong inventory controls.
Minimize inventory mismatches and prevent stock leakage.
Strengthen warehouse organization and material traceability.
Implement systems for real-time inventory visibility.
Sales Order & Dispatch Coordination Monitor pending sales orders and ensure timely execution.
Coordinate with the sales team to align production with customer delivery commitments.
Improve dispatch planning and reduce delivery delays.
Follow up on long-pending customer orders to optimize inventory and production planning.
Quality Management Strengthen quality systems across production.
Reduce customer complaints, product rejections, and rework.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and operating procedures.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality failures.
Process Improvement Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Identify operational bottlenecks and eliminate inefficiencies.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across production, inventory, and quality.
Support ERP implementation and process automation initiatives.
Leadership Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and plant teams.
Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and discipline.
Conduct daily operational reviews and monitor key performance indicators.
Work closely with management to achieve operational and business goals.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Food Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field.
8–15 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
Experience in food processing, pulse mills, rice mills, flour mills, FMCG, or similar process industries is preferred.
Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, warehouse operations, and quality systems.
Experience working with ERP systems.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead teams and drive execution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working Environment This is a hands-on shop-floor leadership role. The Operations Manager is expected to spend a significant portion of time on the production floor, working closely with supervisors, operators, warehouse teams, and quality personnel.
Our manufacturing process involves the handling and processing of pulses. The work environment includes dust, machinery, and continuous production activity.
Candidates who prefer managing operations primarily from an office without regular shop-floor involvement are unlikely to be a good fit for this role.
