Position: Technical Assistant for BRNS project - Department of Chemistry, GITAM School of Sciences, VSP
Applications are invited for the position of  Technical Assistant (TA) for the research project sanctioned by BOARD OF RESEARCH IN NUCLEAR SCIENCES (BRNS) ,  Government of India  to Dr. Partha Laskar, Assistant Professor,  Department of Chemistry, GITAM School of Sciences, GITAM (Deemed to be) University, Visakhapatnam ,  Andhra Pradesh , India. The selected candidate shall have an opportunity to register for Ph.D. program at GITAM (Deemed to be University) under the supervision of the Principal Investigator upon fulfilling required qualification.

Title of the Research Project: " Glycosaminoglycans modified multimodal polymeric nano-assemblies for targeted cancer combination therapy".

Project Duration:
The post is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum period of three years.

Essential

Qualification:

First class

B.Sc in any branch of Chemical Sciences.
Preference will be given to the person with M.Sc. or M.Tech degree in any branch of Chemical Sciences.
A highly motivated researcher with a strong work ethic and a commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Possesses excellent English communication skills with a readiness to travel for project-critical milestones.

Desirable:
Experience/exposure in synthetic chemistry/polymer chemistry/nanotechnology for biomedical applications.

Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will work on developing stimuli-responsive functional polymers, self-assembly behaviour of polymers, assessing their therapeutic impact against cancer.
The project will involve chemical synthesis, biophysical and analytical characterization, cell culture, in vitro cell and molecular biology, and animal experiments.
