Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Associate - Impact & Transformation (Entry Level)
Location:

Delhi

The Impact & Transformation team drives organizational transformation by leading initiatives that increase our impact and cost-effectiveness and bringing data to bear on organizational decisions.

We are hiring an associate to drive forward our internal learning workstream, where we generate, analyze, and integrate data to improve internal decision-making and learning, similar to the work IDinsight does with our clients, but focused internally.

In the next year, we expect to focus on building a lighter-touch, more intuitive, more actionable internal learning system, piloting new tools that increase the accessibility and use of insights, and improving how internal data is integrated into regional and executive management.

The associate will use the same suite of rigorous data-centric problem-solving tools we use with our clients, especially non-experimental techniques. The associate's primary client will be IDinsighters across the organisation, especially our CTLO and CIO, regional leads, and client-facing teams. Come support a key part of what makes IDinsight special!

About You

The strongest candidates will be self-starters and strong generalists, comfortable going both deep and wide. You will work on ambiguous, open-ended questions and translate them into decision-relevant insights, while also executing well-defined research tasks through structured desk research. The role involves collecting and refining impact estimates, updating past analyses, and, at times, building new impact or cost-effectiveness models from scratch. You will also provide occasional project management support to teammates and explore how AI tools can improve the efficiency, rigor, and quality of the team's work.

This role may not be a good fit for everyone. It is an entry-level position, and you will not initially be driving major strategic decisions or leading initiatives. You also will not specialize in a single area. We are looking for generalists who can contribute across a range of initiatives. While you will develop strong analytical judgment through repeated exposure to high-quality work, you should not expect to become 'the expert' in one narrow domain.

Responsibilities

As an associate, the day-to-day responsibilities may include:

Technical skills:
Support all technical elements of the team's work, possibly including methodology development, questionnaire design, indicator selection, data collection (internal and with partners), data analysis, and data visualization. Technical work is likely to focus on non-experimental methods.
Project and client management:
Driving the day-to-day execution of the project work according to project plans and leading internal coordination efforts for the team.
Communication:
Produce high-quality communication materials describing our approach and results, including technical reports, policy briefs, and presentation materials.
Strategy development and execution:
Help continuously refine ILT's objectives and approach to ensure maximum impact. You will also have the opportunity to identify, pilot, and implement special projects that enhance our organizational learning.

Innovation: Continuously innovate on how we can improve our value, including identifying new problems, developing new methods, improving our approach, and piloting new outputs.
Research hygiene and data infrastructure:
Build and maintain robust data systems, documentation, and reproducible workflows to keep IDinsight's impact and operations data accurate, accessible, and analyzable. Strengthen data…
