OverviewHeartland Dental is looking for a Practice Manager of Operations to join our team. Responsibilities- Serve as the business partner to the supported Doctor, ensuring the office delivers unparalleled support and service to both Doctor and patients.
- Guide the team by focusing on constant improvement, creating an environment where team members become masters of their individual roles.
- Set the standard for exceptional customer service and team member collaboration as a key relationship builder.
- Oversee daily operations of the office, including filing patient claims, managing payments, resolving patient issues, coordinating team schedules, and tracking inventory levels.
- Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and retain world‑class team members.
- Review, analyze, and use business reports to identify missed opportunities, recommend and implement best practices and systems to positively impact office performance.

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years’ leadership experience (professional office, hospitality, retail, banking, medical, etc.).
- Experience working in a fast‑paced and customer‑centric environment.
- Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- Trustworthy; maintain patient confidentiality and team ethics.
- Position will have access to minimum PHI; regular HIPAA training required; individual must maintain data safeguards.
- 1+ years of experience in a dental or medical setting.
- 1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable.
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation; accommodations may be made for disabilities.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in‑person once conditions allow) periodically throughout the year; some travel may be involved.
- TB test required for all new hires in dental office positions (not applicable in FL & TN).
