MAMMOTCH - Mammography Technologist

Overview

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes.

Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This position is part-time, working 32 hours per week, Mon/Tue Delray 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM / Friday East Boynton 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM / Saturday 7:45 AM - 2:00 PM.

Daily Pay is offered;
Daily Pay implementation is contingent upon initial setup period.

• 90% Patient Mammography Imaging — Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
• 90% Patient Mammography Imaging — Explains and prepares patients for Mammography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged/scanned
• 90% Patient Mammography Imaging — Performs routine and advanced Mammography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• 90% Patient Mammography Imaging — Adjusts Mammography scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
• 90% Patient Mammography Imaging — Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• 90% Patient Mammography Imaging — Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
• 90% Patient Mammography Imaging — Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
• 5% Mammography Department Support — Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• 5% Mammography Department Support — Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• 5% Mammography Department Support — Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable
• 5% Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform mammography procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty
• Must have continuing CEU's in modality as required by MQSA or state specific
