The Plant Manager for Pero Family Farms Food Company, LLC is located in Delray Beach, FL at our fully integrated facility. The role is all-encompassing, requiring strong communication and leadership and overseeing all aspects of operations while working closely with Pero Family Farms Corporate Supply, Operations, Distribution, and Sales Teams.
Job Overview:- Oversee daily and weekly schedules and shifts.
- Monitor and control all costs associated with the facility, including equipment, production, supplies, and transportation.
- General management of the facility:
Production, Quality Assurance, Inventory Control, Sanitation, Maintenance, Purchasing, and supervision of employees. - Collaborate with the Food Safety Manager to ensure compliance with internal procedures, external audits, OSHA Guidelines and Primus Lab requirements.
- Ensure all Famous Warehouse Management System procedures are followed and documented.
- Participate as a member of the company's product recall team.
- Provide leadership and direction for facility personnel:
Motivation, Evaluation, Guidance, Employee Relations Issues, and Attendance.
- Maintain good housekeeping and organization.
- Establish, follow, and enforce safety standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations.
- Communicate with Legal Counsel and the safety department to ensure compliance with OSHA and other governmental regulations.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Ensure safety is the cornerstone of the operational facility, aiming for zero lost time or accidents.
- Initiate corrective actions to audit deficiencies.
- Ensure order fulfillment, product traceability, and quality measures are met daily.
- Train personnel on proper use of equipment.
- Participate in operational problem resolution.
- Prepare an annual budget and schedule expenditures.
- Use preventive/predictive maintenance systems for equipment and facility maintenance.
- Track vendor pricing and service levels.
- Develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; follow SOPs for all manufacturing operations.
- Meet or exceed labor budget KPIs such as labor cost per pound, bags per minute, etc.
- Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment.
- Serve as primary point of contact for customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or onsite accidents.
- Communicate customer issues with the operations team and devise ways to improve the customer experience.
- Minimize shrinkage and maximize yield.
- Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline direct reports.
- Communicate job expectations and conduct employee reviews.
- Manage staff levels, wages, hours, and contract labor to revenues.
