The Packing House Manager oversees the efficient operations of our packing house, managing staff, coordinating processes, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe environment.

• Staff Management
  • Recruit, hire, and train packing house staff.
  • Assign tasks and supervise employees to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts.
• Operations Management
  • Coordinate the unloading, sorting, washing, and packaging of products.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and comply with FDA regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize packing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Quality Control
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure product integrity.
  • Inspect products for defects and take corrective action as needed.
  • Maintain records of quality control inspections.
• Safety Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct safety inspections and implement safety training programs.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to prevent recurrence.
• Facility Management
  • Maintain the packing house in a clean and organized condition.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of equipment.
  • Manage inventory of packing supplies and equipment.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in packing house management or supervision preferred.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexibility to work weekends and variable hours.
• Required to travel to seasonal work locations (Delray, Alachua, FL, Brant, NY, Parrish, FL, Omega, GA).

• Position operates primarily in a packing house and production facility environment, which may be cold, wet, and noisy.
• Frequent presence on the production floor to monitor operations, inspect product quality, and oversee staff activities.
• Exposure to varying temperatures (45 degrees or less), humidity, and strong odors associated with fresh produce is common.
• Work hours may extend beyond standard business hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Travel required to seasonal packing and production facilities in Delray Beach, FL;
  Alachua, FL;
  Parrish, FL;
  Brant, NY; and Omega, GA, which may involve extended stays.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods while on the production floor.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Frequent movement between office and production areas is required.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, etc.) and occasionally operate or inspect production machinery.
• Requires manual dexterity and visual acuity to inspect products, review documentation, and monitor operations.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, hairnets, and masks as necessary.
• Ability to respond quickly to operational or safety issues, including walking through large production and storage areas.
