Job Summary:

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team of 3 Cardiologists and 2 NPs. As an NP or PA, you will examine patients, collect medical histories, and make tentative diagnoses for both minor and major issues. You will read diagnostic tests, interpret data, explain test results and diagnoses to patients, and prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval.

The main practice setting includes outpatient and hospital environments. The ideal candidate has excellent bedside manner, experience in charting within a medical setting, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. This role also involves direct contact with research projects; research experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Examine patients, take detailed medical histories, and document relevant medical information
• Read test results, interpret data, and suggest diagnoses
• Explain test results and health outcomes to patients
• Prescribe medication or therapy under physician supervision as part of a comprehensive treatment plan
• Collaborate with staff, medical assistants, and physicians to develop treatment plans
• Focus exclusively on cardiology; no primary care involved
• Participate in research and clinical trials

Qualifications:

• Valid state licensing
