Our full-service clinic manages a diverse caseload, providing everything from foundational wellness and prevention to Advanced Care and complex Surgical Procedures. We are seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team and help ensure we are providing those great experiences. Pay Range: starting at $21-$24 an hour based on experience.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
- Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
- Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
- Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
- Proficient in dental prophylaxis
- 2+ years of experience in an animal hospital, strong communication and teamwork skills, a patient- and client-first mindset, and an organized, positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
- Associates degree in Veterinary Technology
