Executive Recruitment Leader | Talent & Growth Partner to eCommerce, Beauty, Fashion & CPG Brands
Our client, an online specialty retailer
, is seeking a Supply Chain & Category Analyst to join their team in Palm Beach County on a hybrid schedule (Monday to Wednesday in-office). This is a temporary role slated for approximately 6 months with potential to convert based on business needs and performance. This role sits at the intersection of inventory flow and product performance, supporting both the inbound supply chain and the outbound retail experience.
Duties Include:
Supply Chain & Inventory Operations (50%)
- Primary focus: inventory accuracy, purchasing execution, and vendor coordination
- Create, review, and release purchase orders daily based on system-generated recommendations
- Act as a key user of the purchasing ERP system, maintaining accurate item, vendor, cost, and lead-time data
- Serve as the main point of contact for vendors on open purchase orders, confirmations, and delivery updates
- Investigate and resolve inbound shipment issues such as shortages, damages, overages, or incorrect items in partnership with warehouse teams
- Monitor inventory levels, low-stock alerts, and out-of-stock risks to minimize lost sales on high-performing products
- Primary focus: sales insights, assortment health, and competitive positioning
- Generate and analyze weekly category sales reports to assess performance across key product groups
- Identify trends, including fast-moving and underperforming SKUs, and flag opportunities for optimization
- Conduct competitive pricing reviews and assortment gap analyses to support market competitiveness
- Assist with new product onboarding by ensuring product data, imagery, and attributes are accurate and optimized for the online store
- Review on-site merchandising to confirm proper categorization, stock status visibility, and relevant cross-sell recommendations
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline
- 0+ years of professional experience; recent graduates with strong internships are encouraged to apply
- Strong Excel skills required, including lookups, pivot tables, and foundational formulas
- Experience with ERP or purchasing systems is a plus; training will be provided
- Data-driven and detail-oriented with a natural curiosity for understanding performance trends
- Clear and professional communicator with vendors and internal teams
- Comfortable shifting between operational execution and analytical work
- Enthusiastic about pets and interested in e-commerce and pharmacy-driven retail
