- We are seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead a team of product engineers in designing, developing, and implementing AI-driven solutions at Blue Yonder and provide strategic technical leadership for our Generative AI initiatives.
- In this role, you ll shape the architectural direction of our AI systems, lead complex engineering challenges, and drive innovation across our technology stack.
- Establish the technical vision and architectural foundations for our generative AI platforms and products
- Lead the design and implementation of complex, large-scale AI systems that push technical boundaries
- Design and build scalable, high-performance solutions
- Optimize inference pipelines to reduce latency and improve efficiency
- Build distributed AI systems that handle high-throughput workloads
- Mentor engineering leaders and senior engineers, elevating the technical capabilities of the organization
- Identify and solve systemic engineering challenges across model training, deployment, and monitoring
- Establish technical standards, best practices, and architectural patterns for AI engineering
- Drive technical alignment with product management & UX on roadmap and deliverables
- Software/Tools: Python, Git Hub, Node.js, React.js, Git Hub Actions, Codacy, Git Hub Advance Security, Black Duck Hub, Blaze Meter, Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, etc.
- Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture
- Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)
- Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Spring Boot, Snowflake
- Bachelor s degree (STEM preferred) and minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in Software development with a minimum of 3 years as Architect.
- Strong programming experience and background in Enterprise Python (preferred) or Java, Spring Boot, microservices-based architecture
- Demonstrable experience designing, building, deploying and maintaining enterprise cloud solutions (we use Azure) in AWS, Azure and/or GCP
- Demonstrable experience with microservices-based architecture on Cloud at scale
- Experience with implementation of Event driven architecture using Kafka, Spark or similar technologies
- Hands-on development skills along with architecture/design experience; should not have moved away from software development
- Demonstrable experience, thorough knowledge and interests in Cloud native architecture, Distributed micro-services, Multi-tenant SaaS solution and Cloud scalability, performance and high availability
- Experience with API management platforms & providing/consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience with varied tools such as Spring Boot, OAuth, REST, Graph
QL, Hibernate, No
SQL, RDBMS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, React - Experience with Dev Ops, Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation
- Good understanding of secure architectures, secure configuration, identity management, role-based access control, authentication & authorization, and data encryption
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities

The salary range for this position is $152,889 - $190,000.
The salary range information provided reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
