Lead proposal operations with strong project management and writing skills at West Cary Group, based in Richmond, Virginia, with hybrid office work.
The Senior Manager, Business Development Operations owns proposals, RFP responses, SOWs, and Task Orders from intake through submission. You will coordinate Account Management, Creative, Strategy, Project Management, Finance, and subject-matter experts. The work combines opportunity evaluation, scoping, pricing coordination, quality control, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Own qualified opportunities from intake through final submission
- Review requirements, risks, ambiguities, and clarifying questions
- Coordinate timelines, contributors, reviews, approvals, and deliverables
- Draft and assemble client-facing proposals and business documents
- Improve templates, workflows, content libraries, and AI-enabled processes
- Five or more years in business development or proposal operations
- Experience managing complex proposals, RFPs, SOWs, or Task Orders
- Strong project-management, organizational, writing, and presentation skills
- Ability to coordinate contributors without direct authority
- Experience identifying gaps, challenging assumptions, and resolving issues
