About the OpportunityWith over 30 years of experience, our client has built a strong reputation in the development and construction of commercial, residential, and renovation projects across British Columbia. Recently, they have expanded operations across Canada and the US. This is a national role ideal for an experienced and self‑driven Project Coordinator who is comfortable supporting projects across multiple provinces, particularly in Western Canada and Ontario.
You’ll assist with full project delivery ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while maintaining close coordination with superintendents, trades, clients, and consultants. This is a great opportunity for a Coordinator who thrives in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment and enjoys travel.
As a Travelling Project Coordinator, you will support construction projects from start to finish for new builds ($10M–$50M) of large‑format retail stores, and mall/retail tenant improvements. You’ll coordinate internal and external teams, track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and schedules, assist with procurement, and serve as a key liaison for clients and stakeholders. This role requires strong technical knowledge, organization, and the ability to work independently while travelling.
- Projects are Canada‑wide
, typically across Western Canada and Ontario. - Typical rotation:
10 days on / 4 days off.
- Base Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience)
- Bonus: 5% annually
- LOA: 15% travel uplift added on top of base salary
- Vacation: 3 weeks
- Assist the Project Manager and Superintendents with project execution across Canada
- Track RFIs, submittals, schedules, and change orders
- Coordinate subtrades, procurement, and documentation from mobilization through closeout
- Provide guidance and support to site teams
- Ensure project adherence to specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
- Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, trades, and internal teams
- 3–5 years’ experience supporting light industrial or commercial construction projects (e.g., retail store builds, distribution facilities, pre‑engineered steel structures)
- Proven ability to assist with RFIs, submittals, schedules, and change order tracking
- Experience coordinating subtrades, procurement, and documentation from mobilization through closeout
