Safety Coordinator - Construction Projects

As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in executing safety protocols and supporting Forbes Bros. Group’s HSE Management System. This position involves close collaboration with project teams to promote hazard awareness, perform safety inspections, and engage in effective communication with field personnel. Your expertise in safety management will reinforce a culture of accountability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and ensure adherence to safety standards

• Maintain visibility on site, addressing hazards immediately

• Facilitate safety and toolbox talks for workers

• Review and verify safety assessments and documentation

• Participate in investigations for incidents and injuries

Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma in Occupational Health and Safety

• Three years of relevant safety experience in construction environments

• Understanding of HSE standards from BC Hydro is an asset

• Strong ability to build relationships and effectively coach

• Valid driver's license and ability to fulfill certification requirements
