Meridian is currently seeking a skilled and motivated full-time Skilled Labourer to join our team for an exciting project in Delta, BC.

As a Skilled Labourer, you will work alongside experienced carpenters and site supervisors to support the successful construction of a multi-unit wood-frame hotel project. You will gain valuable hands‑on experience while assisting with a variety of carpentry and construction tasks.

• Load and unload construction materials on job site
• Cleaning and preparing for job site
• Directing the safe, effective and organized setup and removal of all equipment
• Identify hazards on site and respond appropriately
• Use of hand and power tools
• Maintain high standards of health and safety processes at all times to avoid accidents or injuries
• Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn. You take pride in your work, follow instructions well, and work effectively in a team environment. You are safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and motivated to develop your skills in the construction industry.

• 3-5 years’ experience in the construction industry as an asset
• Valid driver’s license

• Experience safely operating power tools and equipment
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced environment
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
• WHMIS and Fall Protection certifications are considered an asset
• Additional safety certifications and equipment operator tickets are considered an asset
• Fall Protection is an asset
