Join an experienced team as a Construction Estimator specializing in Industrial, Institutional, and Commercial projects across British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba. Prepare detailed estimates and budgets to support various project delivery models.
This role is perfect for detail-oriented professionals with over three years of estimating experience, particularly in General Contracting. Your strong knowledge of construction methods and excellent Excel skills will be crucial in reviewing specifications and preparing competitive cost estimates. Collaboration with project teams and subcontractors will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for projects
• Review specifications, drawings, and tender documents thoroughly
• Complete quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor pricing and bids
• Identify risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities
Requirements:
• 3+ years of estimating experience in construction
• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
• Proficient in Excel and construction estimating software
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability
• Experience with design-build and fixed-price models preferred
